International Walk to School Day is Wednesday, October 8th. A community wide event will be held at Lincoln Park at 7:30am before the start of the school day.
Several of the Capitol Hill schools will be participating. The event will have light snack items for the students along with some giveaways.
There will be a visit from Wendy the Water Drop, the mascot for DC Water. During the program portion, there will be guest speakers and performances from student groups.
At the conclusion, each respective school will walk corporately to their locations.
