I graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA in 2012 with a BA in Psychology. Having played soccer my entire life, it was no surprise that I played in college as well. My love of sports lead to working with the youth in the area and I decided to venture a little further west to Cleveland, Ohio where I spent a year with Americorps serving the at-risk youth as a CityYear corp member in a low performing elementary school.
This led me to pursue a career in early childhood special education, bringing me to DC to get my Master’s degree at The George Washington University in early childhood special education. Prior to joining the Maury Community, during my time as a masters student, I working in the Preschool Autism Inclusion classroom at Walker Jones Elementary School. Continuing with my interest in sports and physical activity, I am the girls on the run coach and SoleMate.
