Qinghua Wang (pronounced Ching Wah Wong) has more than 10 years of experience teaching Chinese to DC elementary school students. As a member of the DC World Languages Committee, she helped develop the current DCPS Foreign Language Standards. Ms. Wang also wrote the curriculum for the DCPS Chinese language program. She has a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Cambridge College in Massachusetts.
Ms. Wang is from Kunming, capital of Yunnan (literally “South of the Clouds”) Province in the far southwest of China. Ms. Wang graduated from Southwest University in Chongqing, China, and did advanced work at Beijing Normal Education University. She came to the United States as a visiting scholar at The George Washington University, and remained to become a U.S. citizen. She is married and has one daughter, Ma Li.
Ms. Wang loves to read, teach, and travel.
