Don’t be worried if you haven’t trained so much, and aren’t in fighting form, post-baby, post-injury, post-40 or whatever--get started now. and have a relaxing run. As my neighbor says, who is running it, if you train too hard, you belong in another race--this is the Running of the Sweaty Neighbors. Plus, it benefits fellow neighborhood schools, Stuart Hobson, Watkins and Peabody as their biggest fundraiser, and has struggled to maintain its standing for the past couple of years because of costs.
So ear your Maury T-shirt or order one, come out, join up afterwards and watch the kiddos do a fun run while you relax curbside with a cocktail*.
