Originally from New York, I always loved school and knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, Child Studies, and Spanish, as well as a Master of Education degree in Learning, Diversity, and Urban Studies from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I taught third and fourth grade for three years in Nashville before moving to D.C. with my now husband in 2016. I taught fourth and first grade in DCPS for three years before joining Maury. I strive to instill a love of learning and a sense of determination in my students, values that were instilled in me by my elementary teachers and that helped me achieve my dreams.
