Liz Nigro, Special Education

Liz Nigro teaches first and second grade special education and is elated to rejoin the Maury community after working as an interim special educator last school year!

She was born nearby, in Fairfax, Virginia, and can’t wait for her fourth year in the DC public and public charter school system. Prior to teaching, she earned a B.A. from the University of Richmond in Politics, Philosophy, Economics, and Law, and a M.Ed from Johns Hopkins University in Elementary and Special Education.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, coaching soccer and tennis, as well as spending time with friends. She is excited for all the adventures this school year will bring!
