Sameya Adem-Frazier joined the Maury community in 2021 as a first-grade teacher.
As an educator, Ms. Adem-Frazier considers it a privilege and an honor to shape the hearts and minds of students: “It is my goal to instill a love for learning in my students, which ultimately helps them become independent and responsible learners that make smart choices.”
Ms. Adem-Frazier was born in Fairfax, Virginia and raised in Clinton, Maryland. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Howard University in 2011, and her Master of Education from Howard the year after. She then gained experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, and third grade.
Outside of teaching, she enjoys baking, running, and spending time with family and friends.
